No I got an appointment immediately and dr Wong acted urgently to diagnose and respond to my dangerous condition.he facilitated after hours treatment at the hospital and arranged urgent consultation at the specialist clinic. Westbank Surgery I feel very lucky to have as my surgery. All the Doctors are amazing. My Doctor, Dr Ghandi I have total trust and faith in. She always has a smile and listens and advIses on lifestyle and keeping healthy. Recently I had a worrying health concern, I was able to book an appointment on the day, undertake the tests required with results back in 3 days, amazing quick turn around.
The Reception Staff are friendly and will advise on any worries and the way forward. Never any problem with getting an appointment.
We are very lucky to have two Surgeries with lovely staff.
I really do think Westbank is amazing and I would like to say thank you to you all.

From my perspective no , I think the whole team are marvellous , ALL OF YOU . I do feel sorry for all the people that work there though ( receptionists, doctors & nurses ) , as they are all vastly overworked, and doing the best for the patients ( some of of which don’t deserve the kindness that’s shown to them by the people who work there ) .
Personally I can’t praise you folks enough . If I had any concerns, it would be more for looking after ALL the staff at Westbank Practice, without you folks the rest of us are knackered , so if anything, I’d say their concerns were more worth listening to if they had any .

By checking/ registering my arrival on the machine in the surgery, l was able to see there were two patients before me. The nurse was running a little late but apologised as soon as she greeted me.

I was seen by a young trainee doctor who had obviously been briefed very well by Dr Tomlinson. She explained that she was still in training and asked all the right questions. She also explained that she was going to refer to Dr Tomlinson who did come in and checked and he explained to her what the problem was. To me, this encourages future new doctors to come into the GP world. Please continue to do all that you can to encourage this.

I needed to see a doctor urgently and after phoning at 8.30 in the morning, was able to see the doctor at 11.00 the same day.
Although I couldn’t see my own doctor, the doctor I did see had reviewed my notes and after some tests and an examination, I left and was able to collect medication within two hours.
This surgery is a perfect example of the NHS at its best.

From the point of view of checking in, the screen is sometimes difficult to access.However, whenever there had been a problem with this or another query when entering reception, staff have always been extremely helpful.

Westbank Practice, particularly the Starcross surgery with which I have most interaction, is excellent. Making contact via phone or using online system functions is easy. All of the doctors across a variety of conditions have communicated/discussed concerns sympathetically, knowledgeably and taken quick action or recommended longer term solutions as appropriate. I have used face to face appointments (with Dr and nurse), phone appointments (with Dr) as well as receive medical notes and information via text and email service when sensible to do so. The admin staff also provide a reliable, responsible, quality front line service questioning patients about their needs to help direct them to appropriate service/staff. The practice is truly excellent and an extremely valuable service accessible to people locally.

The surgery always gives prompt and caring attention in any communication I have with them. My recent consultation was conducted in a very caring and considerate way, with excellent communication and understanding from the GP who I spoke to about my health concerns.

I have always been able to get an appointment with a doctor on the day I have rung up. Today, I had an appointment but was concerned to notice my child deteriorating- the reception staff heard my concerns and the GP (Dr Ghandi) slotted me in and saw my daughter with great care, and me with supportive kindness. We are grateful for our NHS and for you, our local surgery. Thank you

I have always received excellent service. The receptionists are helpful, friendly and approachable. Every GP I have been seen by at the surgery has been professional, knowledgeable and pleasant. My own GP Dr Wong is such a nice man and a good doctor.
